Ivana Early Life
Born into an upper-middle-class Malayali family in Aluva, Ivana, from a young age, displayed a passion for acting and modeling. During her school and college years, she actively participated in stage shows and dramas, earning admiration and recognition for her performances.
Ivana Career
Ivana began her career as a child artist in the Malayalam film industry, making her debut in Masters (2012), followed by a role in Rani Padmini (2015). She gained prominence with her portrayal of the lead character’s daughter in Anuraga Karikkin Vellam (2016). Her performance caught the attention of director Bala, who cast her in his Tamil film Naachiyaar (2018), starring Jyothika and G.V. Prakash Kumar.
On Bala’s advice, she adopted the stage name Ivana, chosen with her cousin’s help to appeal to Tamil audiences. For her role, Ivana took Tamil lessons and received guidance from her co-actors. Her portrayal of Arasi, a naive young girl, received critical acclaim. Reviewers praised her expressive eyes and natural acting, with Sify.com calling her performance believable, and India Today describing it as “splendid” and “convincing.”
